With disposable incomes ever increasing, more consumers in China are turning to name brand designer names and brands of a higher quality.34% don’t bother to wait for sales and purchase goods when they first arrive in the department stores, relying ever more on credit cards in place of cash or other forms of payment.
The largest factors in an enjoyable shopping experience and return visits are reliant on the variety of shops in the department store, the variety of brands carried and the helpfulness of the staff. Surprisingly, food availability in department stores is low on the list of priorities for shoppers.Food courts and stands are not a high priority for the serious shopper who cares mainly about a large variety of quality brands that they trust.
